Tudor Nazare Bigwave Challenge

At the Nazaré Big Wave Contest, we partnered with Red Bull to bring fans closer to the raw reality of big wave surfing - beyond what visuals alone can capture.

For this project, which we’ve now delivered multiple times, we equipped selected athletes with special water microphones, designed to withstand the extreme conditions of surfing. These mics captured the real sounds of big wave surfing in action - the power of the waves, the movement of the board, and the emotions of the athletes - streamed live to enhance the broadcast and deepen the audience’s connection to the moment.

In addition to the live audio experience, we documented the competition through on-site photography, capturing authentic moments on and off the water. These images were delivered directly to the athletes for use across their social channels, helping them share the experience from their own perspective.

This project sits at the intersection of sport, sound, and storytelling - using innovative audio technology and visual content to make one of the world’s most extreme surf events feel closer, louder, and more real.
